BREAKING: Many killed as herdsmen attack another Benue community

Barely one week after killing about 39 persons in Gbeji community in Ukum LGA of Benue State, suspected herders attacked Tse Ikyem, a community in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing several persons.

It was gathered that the around herders invaded the community around 4pm on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Mr Solomon Ukoom, Mrs Eunice Kpei and Mr Mfeseer Iorbume

A community leader, Joseph Anawah, said, “On October 29, 2022, around 4pm, armed herdsmen attacked and murdered Mr Solomon Ukoom, Mrs Eunice Torkwase Joe Kpei and Mr Mfeseer Iorbume. Many were wounded.

“The attack was carried out at Tse Ikyem around Anawah settlement, the same spot where two people were murdered on Sunday, October 23, 2022.”

The state police command spokesperson, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident.
