Several persons have been trapped to death afte one-storey building collapsed in Taraba State.
The building, which is under construction, was reduced to the ground on Friday with several workers stuck in the rubble, Saharareporters reports.
An eyewitness who does not want his name mentioned, said the building collapsed due to substandard materials used in its construction.

“He is a major dealer in building and construction materials in the state,” the eyewitness said.
“The building collapsed with construction workers on the site. Dozens of the workers are said to have been trapped under the rubble,” he added.
An official of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria recalled that Obi’s shop was sealed in the past due to alleged sale of substandard materials.
“When we sealed his shop, he took SON to court but later relocated to the Nukkai area and started another shop there,” he said.
