BREAKING: Naira strengthens by N15 against dollar in parallel market

The naira saw a notable improvement against the dollar in parallel foreign exchange markets on Wednesday.

Bureau de Change operator Bello tells our correspondent that the exchange rate strengthened to N1,660 per dollar on Wednesday, up from N1,675 on Tuesday, marking a N15 gain for the naira.

In the official market, the naira closed at N1,552.58 per dollar, slightly appreciating from N1,552.78 on Tuesday.

This positive shift in the exchange rate comes as the Central Bank of Nigeria approved the release of the FX code on Wednesday.
