BREAKING: Natasha Akpoti declared winner of Kogi Central Senatorial poll

The election petition tribunal in Lokoja has ruled in favor of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, declaring her the winner of the February 25 Kogi Central Senatorial election.

Tribunal Chairman Justice K.A. Orjiakoin announced the decision on Wednesday, revealing that Uduaghan secured 54,064 votes, surpassing her closest rival, Sadiku-Ohere, who received 51,291 votes.

As part of the ruling, Ohere, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been instructed to pay Akpoti-Uduaghan N500,000 as the cost of the petition. Further details will follow.
