The Nigerian Army has claimed responsibility for the airstrike that took place in Tudun Biri village in Kaduna State on Sunday, resulting in the death of several villagers engaged in a religious activity.
The confirmation of the Army’s involvement came on Monday during an emergency security meeting, as disclosed by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
Earlier, the news surfaced through a social media post by Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, who raised concerns about the incident. Sani’s post indicated that numerous individuals lost their lives due to aerial bombardment during a religious festival near the Kaduna Airport. Seeking clarification, he tagged the Nigerian Air Force and Defense Headquarters.
