BREAKING: NLC, TUC suspend planned strike, ask workers to resume work tomorrow
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have collaboratively called off the planned indefinite strike scheduled for October 3, 2023, following the fuel subsidy removal.
This decision came after a crucial emergency meeting between government representatives and labor leaders.
Both NLC and TUC mutually agreed to suspend the strike to allow for the implementation of NLC’s demands.
Consequently, the NLC’s National Executive Council (NEC) has instructed all its affiliate members to direct their members to resume work on October 3, 2023, since the intended indefinite strike has been halted.
