BREAKING: NNPCL reduces fuel price by N80 ahead of Christmas
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again reduced the pump price of petrol, marking its third price cut in December 2025.
A survey conducted by a DAILY POST correspondent across filling stations in Abuja on Thursday showed that NNPCL is now selling petrol at ₦835 per litre, down from the previous price of ₦915 per litre. This represents a reduction of ₦80.
The latest adjustment follows earlier price reviews by MRS, BOVAS, and AA Rano, which lowered their pump prices in Abuja to between ₦739 and ₦865 per litre.
DAILY POST reports that the price reductions by NNPCL and other marketers came after Dangote Refinery and depot owners slashed their ex-depot prices to between ₦699 and ₦800 per litre.
Recall that NNPCL and several other filling stations had earlier reduced petrol prices on December 4 and December 10, 2025, respectively.
