The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has made the decision to suspend Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s candidate in the upcoming February 25 presidential election. This suspension stems from allegations of engaging in anti-party activities.
Furthermore, the BoT has also taken the step to suspend the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. These measures were enacted during a recent meeting held in Lagos, and they are slated to remain in effect for a period of six months.
The BoT, under the leadership of Secretary Babayo Muhammed Abdulahi, asserts that Kwankwaso was found to be associating with individuals such as President Bola Tinubu, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar – the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Mr. Peter Obi – the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), without proper authorization from the board.
