BREAKING: Notorious bandit kingpin Dogo Gide is dead
Dogo Gide, a notorious bandit leader responsible for terrorizing the Northwest region of Nigeria, has met his demise. Gide succumbed to injuries sustained during a clash with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in Madada forest, Zamfara state, on March 12, 2024.
Despite severe wounds, Gide was smuggled to a hospital in Mabera, Sokoto State, where he eventually passed away. His death marks a significant victory for Nigerian security forces and a relief for communities plagued by his reign of terror.
Gide, affiliated with ANSARU and other terrorist groups, had a long criminal record, including the elimination of rival bandit leader Buharin Daji. Questions arise about his hospitalization, with suspicions of collusion within security ranks.
The combined efforts of 1 Division and 8 Division of the Nigerian Army led to the encounter with Gide, as part of their ongoing operations to combat insecurity in the region.
