Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun of Isheri Olofin in Lagos State, has died.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the first class Oba and paramount ruler of Isheri Olofin died on Tuesday aged 94. He spent 37 years on the throne.
Late Oba Balogun was once the Chairman, Alimosho Council of Obas.
Asked in an interview published on Guardian in June 2019 if he ever had it in mind to become a king, Oba Balogun said that it never crossed his mind, though his parents were telling him when he was young that he had an omen to be great. He, however, declared that there was a declaration and in 1983, his coronation was announced and in 1984, he was installed.
Isheri Olofin is a community in Alimosho, situated nearby Cardoso, and west of Idimu.
