Suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed a woman in Yelewata area of Guma LGA of Benue State.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the woman was killed by the gunmen who attacked some women who had gone into the bush in search of firewood.
A native of Yelewata identified as Samso, described the attack as black Wednesday for the people of Benue State.
He said several other persons were injured and many are still missing after the bloody attack.
He said, “Black Wednesday at Yelewata as Fulani militia herdsmen attacks women who went in a search of firewood in the bush, one found dead so far.”
Confirming the attack, a brother to the deceased, John Kelly, said,”My younger sister was gunned down this morning by Fulani at Yelewata. hER killers will never rest in their life. May the almighty God accept you home wholeheartedly. Amen.”
