Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and his Bauchi State counterpart, Bala Mohammed met this afternoon (Tuesday March 2) in Port Harcourt for a reconciliatory meeting.
The two Governors resolved to make peace in the overall interest of the country.
IDOMA VOICE recalls that Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Bala Mohammad of Bauchi state have been trading words after the former reacted to a statement credited to the later and called him a terrorist for reportedly saying in the statement that Fulani herdsmen are bound to carry arms.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which they both belong, asked the duo to settle their differences and focus on more progressive issues.
Now, the duo of Ortom and Bala have reportedly met and settled their differences at Port Harcourt Rivers State, on Tuesday.
The meeting was said to be at the instance of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.
