BREAKING: Oshiomhole shuts down Lagos Airport terminal after missing Abuja flight

Operations at the Zulu Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, were temporarily disrupted on Wednesday after Senator Adams Oshiomhole missed his scheduled flight to Abuja and allegedly blocked access to the terminal.

Eyewitnesses and airport sources told reporters that the senator, who represents Edo North and is a former governor of Edo State, arrived at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) after the departure time of his 6:30 a.m. Air Peace flight to Abuja.

Upon learning that boarding had closed, Senator Oshiomhole reportedly stationed himself at the terminal entrance, preventing other passengers and airport staff from accessing the facility.

His actions caused significant delays and left several travelers stranded.

Attempts by the terminal manager to resolve the situation were unsuccessful, prompting the intervention of the regional airport manager. A quick emergency meeting was convened in a bid to pacify the senator and restore normal operations.

“The entrance was completely blocked, and nothing was moving. We had passengers who missed their own check-in time because of the standoff,” an airport staff member said.
