Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, has reportedly received medical clearance from the team’s medical staff for Wednesday’s semi-final match against South Africa.
According to IDOMA VOICE, Osimhen did not travel with the team from Abidjan to Bouaké on Monday evening due to abdominal discomfort.
Confirming the incident, the team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, stated that Osimhen was being closely monitored by team doctors, with one medical staff member remaining in Abidjan with him.
Sources in Abidjan have indicated that Osimhen will rejoin his teammates in Bouaké after being deemed fit and is expected to participate in the upcoming game.
Throughout the AFCON tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, the Napoli striker has been a vital component of the Eagles’ impressive performance, starting all five matches and contributing one goal while assisting Ademola Lookman against Cameroon.
