No fewer than 3 suspected killers of a Seminarian identified as Ameh in Eke-Nobi, Okpokwu local area of Benue State have been arrested by the Igbanonmaje vigilante group in Otukpo.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that one of the suspects called Samuel Abah was identified by some natives of Eke-nobi who tailed him and hinted the vigilante members at Igbanonmaje who swing into action immediately and apprehended him (Samuel Abah) and two others in their hide out in Otukpo.
The suspects admitted that they are members of the “Black confraternity” but were not the ones who carried out the operation that led to the killing of the Seminarian.
“We are ready to cooperate with the security agencies, we will give names of those who did it. We know the person who shot the Seminarian.” One of the suspects said.
The development is as a result of the firm resolve of the Otukpo Local Government Security Summit held last April by Rt. Hon. George Alli to rid the area of all criminal elements.
Hon. Alli has commended the vigilante group for their efforts in fighting insecurity with him and also reiterates his commitment to always support them (the vigilantee group).
Relatively, other suspects are presently in IRT custody for several offenses ranging from Armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, etc.
As at the time of filing this report, the vigilante group has handed them over to the police for further investigation.
