BREAKING: Over 30 feared dead as herdsmen attack Ayati community in Benue

Over 30 people are feared dead and many more are missing following a devastating attack on Ayati community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

Sources from the area report that the assault was executed by a combined force of armed herdsmen and local bandits who targeted the unsuspecting community on Friday. The scale of the attack has left many residents unaccounted for, with some fleeing in panic and others presumed dead.

The Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police has confirmed the incident. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, stated that officers are currently on the ground investigating the situation. However, detailed information is still forthcoming.
