The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, for failing to pay a debt related to a G-Wagon purchase.
According to reports, Portable bought the luxury vehicle for N27 million but only paid N13 million, leaving a balance of N14 million. Despite repeated requests, he allegedly refused to settle the outstanding amount, claiming the car was faulty.
The car dealer filed a complaint with the police, leading to Portable’s arrest on Tuesday. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, stating, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
This development marks the latest controversy surrounding the embattled musician, who has been in the news for various reasons in recent times.
