John Magufuli, President of Tanzania is dead.
According to reports, he died of heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam, on Wednesday.
Samia Suluhu, his deputy, announced the tragic news in a statewide broadcast on Wednesday.
“It is with deep regret that I inform you that today… we lost our brave leader, the president of the Republic of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli,” Vice-President Hassan said in the announcement.
The deceased was aged 61.
