President Bola Tinubu has officially approved the appointment of Mrs. Mojoyinoluwa Dekalu-Thomas as the newly anointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO), solidifying her position for a four-year term.
Having previously served as the Acting MD/CEO of NELMCO following the culmination of the tenure of the pioneer NELMCO MD/CEO, Mr. Adebayo Fagbemi, on May 8th, 2023, Mrs. Mojoyinoluwa Dekalu-Thomas has now been entrusted with the organization’s leadership in a substantive capacity.
In light of her elevation to the position of Managing Director, a vacancy has arisen in Mrs. Dekalu-Thomas’s previous role. As a response to this, President Tinubu has granted approval for the appointment of Mr. Dimla Joel Nchinney to occupy the role of Executive Director, Liability Management within the framework of NELMCO.
These presidential directives have been set into motion with immediate effect, signifying a seamless transition and a decisive step toward sustaining the operational continuity of NELMCO.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, formally conveyed these appointments to the public on August 25, 2023. The move not only showcases the President’s commitment to bolstering the leadership of NELMCO but also underlines the importance of effective management and strategic direction in Nigeria’s electricity sector.
