Some residents of Sokoto State have taken over the streets in protest over the arrest of the suspected killers of Deborah Samuel.
Recall that the police had arrested two persons in connection with the murder of Deborah, who allegedly blasphemed the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
The arrest follows a statement by the Sultanate Council in Sokoto, calling for immediate action against those who stoned Deborah to death and set her body on fire.
This, however, did not go down well with some Muslim faithful in Sokoto, who are calling for the release of the suspects.
Security forces are on ground managing the situation.
