BREAKING: Qatar 2022 World Cup: Senegal becomes first African nation to qualify for round of 16

Senegal Tuesday, became the first African team to qualify for the round of 16 at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Lions of Terenga achieved the feat after beating Ecuador 2 goals to 1 in group A.

Goals from Sarr and Koulibaly ensured the West African side progressed to the next round.
