Dr. Justina Anjide Kotso, the rector of Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Thursday, narrowly escaped death during a violence that broke out in the school.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that students of the polytechnic this morning staged a peaceful protest which led to the burning down of school properties.
It was gathered that the protest didn’t last for two hours before some hoodlums invaded the school and started burning properties belonging to the school.
One of the students, who spoke to IDOMA VOICE on phone, said the rector sneaked from the school environment because the attack targeted on her.
She said, “Some of the students are yet to pay school fees and the school decided to close the fees portal and set exams on Monday, so we decided to stage a protest but the rector was busy insulting the students and they descended on her.
“At the moment, students have been advised to vacate the school premises till further notice.”
