The Muslim community is in mourning following the death of one of its most esteemed figures, Alhaji Muyideen Bello.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Alhaji Bello was renowned for his deep Islamic teachings and steadfast commitment to the faith, earning him widespread respect and admiration.
The announcement of his passing was made on Friday morning by Alfa Aribidesi of At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah, a fellow respected Islamic scholar.
Confirming the news, popular cleric and Islamic singer Alhaji Basit Olarenwaju, also known as Aponle Anabi, paid tribute to the late scholar by sharing his photo with tearful emojis on his official Facebook page.
While specific details about his death are yet to emerge, the 84-year-old’s passing marks a significant loss for the Muslim community. Alhaji Bello dedicated decades of his life to spiritual leadership, impacting countless lives with his wisdom and guidance.
Local media outlets in Oyo State have also confirmed the cleric’s death.
