No fewer than 10 persons have been hit by stray bullets allegedly fired by suspected cultists at a wake keep held at Bookshop Road Otukpo, Benue State.
A Source who pleaded anonymity told IDOMA VOICE that the fight started on Tuesday after during the wake keep rally organized by the deceased family.
“They were gyrating together at first, then all of a sudden they started punching each other and breaking bottles on the road. They brought out guns, shop owners and other residents scampered for safety towards Ibadan Street, Depot Road and nearby environs.
“Some of the senior members of the cult groups came and resolved the issues and they all left only to return later during the wake keep shoot at each other.
“As we speak, over 10 persons are receiving treatment at different hospital. They also broke peoples houses, destroyed properties and vowed to spoil the Town.” The source added.
