No fewer than six persons including a pastor, have reported been shot dead after violence broke out among Tiv groups in Chanchanji village, Wukari local government area of Taraba State.
IDOMA VOICE gathered violence broke out among Tiv groups barely weeks after Jukun and Tiv had agreed to sheathe their swords.
However, the fresh clash is said to be an intra-ethnic fight; between two Tiv groups.
The incident which reportedly happened in the early hours of Tuesday, also led to destruction of properties worth millions of nairas.
The National president of the Jukun Development Association of Nigeria, Mr. Bako Benjamin who confirmed the incident via JDAN facebook page on Tuesday, said the Jukun people are watching in horror.
Efforts to get comment from the Taraba state police command proved abortive, as a spokesman of the command was not reachable as at the time of filling this report.
