BREAKING: Supreme Court to deliver final verdict in Atiku, Obi’s petitions Oct 26
The Supreme Court has scheduled the final judgments in the two remaining petitions challenging the legitimacy of President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the last presidential election for Thursday, October 26. These petitions were brought forward by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Gregory Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate.
Dr. Awemeri Festus Akande, the Supreme Court’s Director of Press and Information, confirmed this development and assured that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to prevent security breaches both within and outside the court premises.
A panel of seven Justices of the Court, led by Justice John Inyang Okoro, concluded the final arguments presented by lawyers for all parties involved in the petitions on Monday. Subsequently, the Justices reserved their judgments.
