BREAKING: Suspected herdsmen attack Otobi-Akpa, kill four, many missing
No fewer than four persons have been killed following an attack by suspected herdsmen on Otobi-Akpa, a community in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the heavily armed gunmen stormed the community around midnight on Tuesday, opening fire on residents.
The gunfire, which reportedly lasted for several hours, left four people dead, while several others are still missing.
A citizen journalist and activist, Meddy Olotu, who confirmed the attack, said the assailants operated for hours without any resistance from security operatives.
The latest attack comes a few months after a similar assault on the Otobi-Akpa community, in which at least 13 people were killed, several others injured or declared missing, and more than 50 houses destroyed.
