President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the National Cemetery, the designated venue for the burial ceremony of the 17 army personnel who lost their lives in Delta State. His arrival was noted around 4:08 pm.
Tinubu holds the distinguished position of special guest of honor for the occasion.
Among the dignitaries present at the National Cemetery for the burial are Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Kano State Governor Yusuf Abba Gida, Imo State Governor, Bayelsa State Governor, Deputy Senate President, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Also in attendance are Minister of Defence Mohammad Badaru, Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Manuel Ogalla.
The army personnel tragically lost their lives while engaged in a peacekeeping mission in Delta State.
