BREAKING: Tinubu leaves Abuja for Abu Dhabi to attend ADSW 2025

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Abuja on Saturday evening to participate in the 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), set to take place from January 12 to 18 in the United Arab Emirates.

This year’s theme, “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” focuses on advancing sustainable development and fostering global collaboration.

The event will bring together policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives to explore innovative solutions for transitioning to a sustainable economy and driving socio-economic growth.

At the summit, President Tinubu is expected to highlight the ongoing achievements and reforms of his administration, particularly in energy sufficiency, transportation modernization, public health improvement, and economic development.

In addition to attending the summit, President Tinubu and his delegation will engage in discussions with UAE leaders to strengthen bilateral ties and address mutual interests. This visit follows the September 2023 agreement between Nigeria and the UAE, which resulted in the lifting of the visa ban on Nigerian travelers.

The President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials. He is scheduled to return to Nigeria on January 16.
