President Bola Tinubu has authorized a series of appointments and reappointments within the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The Presidency announced the selection of Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers for various agencies under the Ministry on Thursday.
The appointees are as follows:
National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC):
National Blood Service Commission (NBSC):
Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN):
Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN):
Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN):
Moddibo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola (MAUTH):
Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Irrua (ISTH):
Additionally, in a bid to strengthen Nigeria’s public health surveillance and security framework, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), effective February 19, 2024:
