BREAKING: Tinubu makes new appointments

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of executive directors for key positions within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both falling under the purview of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

For the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet has been appointed as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Engr. Olalekan Badmus assumes the role of Executive Director of Marine and Operations, and Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar is designated as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.

In the case of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba has been appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile takes on the role of Executive Director of Finance and Administration and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi is designated as the Executive Director of Operations.

The appointments were confirmed in a statement released on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu.

The statement expressed President Tinubu’s confidence in the appointees, citing their impressive profiles and the belief that they will effectively and promptly carry out their collective mandate. The goal is to enhance the Marine and Blue Economy Sector, contributing significantly to the nation’s GDP.
