President Bola Tinubu has issued a directive to withdraw the nomination of Imam Kashim Imam for the position of Chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) board.
This withdrawal is effective immediately, as stated in a Thursday announcement from the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Ngelale clarified that this decision does not impact the other appointments to the FERMA board and its executive management team.
The nomination of the 24-year-old Imam had sparked controversy in various parts of Nigeria, with some expressing concerns about his inexperience and young age, while others supported his youthful perspective.
