Many passengers have been burnt beyond recognition in a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday night at Dungulbi, close to the Muslim burial site in Bauchi State.
The crash happened about 10 kilometers away from Bauchi metropolis on the Bauchi-Gombe highway.
The crash, which was said to have occurred at 9.20pm, was a head-on collision involving two vehicles.
The two vehicles, which were said to have collided while trying to dodge a pothole, immediately burst into flames.
Our Correspondent could not get full details of the crash as they were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
Efforts to get confirmation from the Federal Road Safety Corp were unsuccessful, as the phone number of the Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi, was switched off.
That of the FRSC Public Relations Officer, Rilwan Suleiman, was also switched off.
Calls put through to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, were not answered and he did not return the calls as of press time.
