BREAKING: Tribunal nullifies PDP victory, declares APC candidate winner in Plateau

The National State Houses of Assembly Election Tribunal has overturned Timothy Dantong’s election from the PDP, declaring Moses Dachum of the APC as the winner of the March 18 Riyom State Constituency election for the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Led by Justice B.M. Tukur, the panel held that during the election, the PDP lacked a valid structure to nominate a candidate.

This ruling stemmed from the party’s continued defiance of a court order by Justice S.P. Gang of the Plateau State High Court, issued on November 26, 2020.
