BREAKING: Unknown gunmen storm Okpoga, kill one; abduct two children (PHOTOS)
At about 9:00pm on Tuesday, 13th of August 2019, gunmen storm Okpoga in their numbers. The town was overwhelmed with sporadic shooting unhindered.
In their daredevil act, the gunmen killed an aged man called BABA and left persons with degree of injuries. The gunmen also stormed the residence of one Inspector Oche of Nigeria Police and abducted his two children.
Okpokwu LGA chairman, Hon. Amina Audu swifts into actions by visiting the scene of the crime. She also visited the victims at St. Mary hospital, Okpoga, a resident, Onwude Tony reports.
At the time of filling this report, the council chairperson is meeting with the Divisional Police Officers of Okpoga and Ugbokolo. Though, she has put calls across to His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom and hope to personally brief him before noon today.
Hon. Amina Audu condemned the act entirety and advised those indulging in criminality to desist and embrace productive ventures.
