Uzodinma Nwafor of the Action Alliance (AA) has been declared the winner of the Chairmanship election held on October 5 in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Adolphus Enebeli, made the announcement on Sunday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Enebeli also confirmed that the Action People’s Party (APP) secured all 19 councillorship positions in Etche LGA.
Providing a breakdown of the overall councillorship results across the state, RSIEC reported that APP won 314 seats, while other parties secured the following:

Boot Party – 1
Labour Party (LP) – 1
Social Democratic Party (SDP) – 1
