VC of Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo Prof Ujah emerges National President, Nigeria Medical Association

Professor Innocent Ujah, the newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, has emerged as the President, Nigeria Medical Association, NMA.

IDOMA VOICE observed that Prof Ujah was elected to lead the association during its 2020 conference held in Jos on Saturday.

Prof Ujah polled 347 votes to floor his closest rival, Oguzie Jerry, who pocketed 19 votes.
Ibekwe Titus came third with 6 votes while Katibi Ibraheem got 5 votes.

Ujah, born November 6, 1954, is a native of Aidogodo in Okpokwu LGA.

Prof. Innocent Ujah, a prouduct of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and the former Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lagos.
