The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, Second Series of 2024, will take place from Friday, October 25, to Friday, December 20, 2024.
In a statement released on Tuesday, WAEC indicated that the examination will utilize a hybrid delivery mode.
Candidates will answer objective or multiple-choice questions on-screen, while essay and practical questions will also be displayed on-screen, with responses provided in answer booklets.
Additionally, candidates will have the option to take the entire examination using a Paper and Pen mode if they prefer.
The Council also noted that the registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
Furthermore, WAEC introduced the “Walk-in Candidate” option, allowing candidates to register up to 24 hours before the specific paper they wish to take. The final timetable for the examination is available for download on the WAEC Nigeria website.
WAEC encourages all intending and registered candidates to utilize the various learning resources available, including the WAEC e-Study platform, WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and the WAECKonnect platform for interaction with other candidates.
