BREAKING: WAEC to conduct first CBT mock exam Tuesday

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the initiation of the inaugural free computer-based mock exam for private candidates participating in the 2024 first-series West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE). All potential candidates are encouraged to engage in the mock test, scheduled for January 23–24, according to Moyosola Adesina, the Acting Head of Public Affairs at the WAEC national office in Lagos.

In a released statement, Adesina conveyed, “WAEC has organized a complimentary Mock Examination for all prospective candidates undertaking the first-ever Computer-Based WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2024- First Series, commencing on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

“The mock examination is set to take place on January 23rd and 24th, 2024. Candidates are urged to access the examination through the mockcbt.waec.org.ng portal using their mobile phones or personal computers. The mock examination portal will be open throughout both days, with candidates having the option to make a second attempt in case of any initial challenges.

“Upon the closure of registration, login details for registered candidates will be dispatched to their respective email addresses and phone numbers. Additionally, a tutorial video demonstrating how to navigate the examination portal will be accessible on all our social media platforms. WAEC extends its best wishes to all candidates for a successful examination and a rewarding experience.”
