The Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) has sealed Joy FM Otukpo, owned by former Senate President David Mark, alongside Access Bank and other businesses for failing to register or renew their business premises.
Among other establishments affected are Ihotu Clinic and Maternity, Meidlin Pharmacy Store, Ezim Pharmacy, and Ultimate Care Specialist Hospital.
The enforcement task force, accompanied by heavily armed security personnel, carried out the operation, citing non-compliance with registration requirements as the reason for the action.
BIRS warned that tampering with the sealed stickers would attract severe consequences.
