Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale has revealed the reasons behind his resignation as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Ngelale disclosed that he has taken an indefinite leave of absence due to pressing medical issues affecting his immediate and extended family.
He also announced his resignation from his additional roles as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
Ngelale explained, “On Friday, I informed the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, of my decision to step down and take an indefinite leave to address urgent medical matters concerning my family. This decision was made after careful consideration and extensive consultations with my loved ones due to a worsening medical situation at home.
“While I understand that the work of the state continues, this difficult choice was necessary for me to focus on my family’s needs. I look forward to returning to public service when circumstances allow and request privacy for my family and myself during this time.”
