BREAKING: Wike’s faction triumphs as PDP suspends BoT Chairman, Adolphus Wabara

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Chief Adolphus Wabara.

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, Wabara’s suspension was carried out by the Abia State Working Committee (SWC) of the party.

The decision was reportedly made during a meeting chaired by the State Chairman, Abraham Amah.

When contacted, Amah confirmed the development, stating, “Yes, it is true, he has been suspended.” He also mentioned that further details would be provided soon.

The suspension is believed to stem from ongoing internal power struggles within the party, particularly between factions loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the PDP’s former presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Sources indicate that former governor Okezie Ikpeazu, a strong ally of Wike, maintains significant influence over the Abia PDP.
