BREAKING: Yoruba Nation: 29 agitators arraigned

29 Yoruba Nation agitators have been arraigned in an Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court for their alleged involvement in the attempted invasion of the Oyo State Government Secretariat on Saturday, April 13.

They face a seven-count charge including treasonable felony, unlawful society, illegal possession of firearms, going armed, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

The Investigative Police Officer, Inspector Bakare Rasaq from the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan, presented the charges. These offenses are contrary to and punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 38, Vol.II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.

The case, with charge number Mi/520c/2024, is between the Commissioner of Police and the 29 suspects.
