Brighton sign Jacob Slater from Preston North End

Brighton & Hove Albion have secured the services of 18-year-old midfielder Jacob Slater from Preston North End. The young talent has inked a three-year contract with the Seagulls and will initially be part of the U21 squad.

Brighton U21 coach Shannon Ruth expressed enthusiasm about the new signing, stating, “He’s a talented young left-back who we’ve been aware of for quite a while now. We’re excited by the impact he can make in our under-21s squad, he is certainly someone who suits our style of play and our environment.”

Slater has already gained valuable experience with Preston’s first team, and Brighton aims to nurture his development and help him reach his full potential. Ruth concluded, “We’re delighted to welcome him to our club, and we look forward to seeing him flourish with us.”
