Buhari appoints Benue-born Ityav chairman of HYPADEC

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Ityav Joseph Terfa as Chairman, Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPADEC).

This was contained in a letter read on the floor of the Senate at plenary on Tuesday by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

In a letter dated 12th November, 2020, the President requested the upper chamber to confirm the nominee Chairman of HYPADEC.

The letter was sent pursuant to Section 3(2) of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission Act.
