Buhari Must go: Deji Adeyanju exonerates Pastor Enenche, says Dunamis not behind arrest, detention of protesters at Lord’s Garden
Activist and co-convener of Concerned Nigerians Group, Deji Adeyanju, has declared that the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, is not behind the arrest and detention of some persons who staged a Buhari Must Go protest at the Lord’s Garden, on Sunday.
IDOMA VOICE reports that five persons had on Sunday sneaked into Dunamis church located along the airport road in Abuja, calling for the ouster of President Muhammadu Buhari.
They got more than what they bargained for as some security officials on routine patrol arrested and whisked them away for attempting to cause unrest in the church.
However, the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore had claimed in several posts that it was the Senior Pastor of Dunamis, Dr Paul Enenche that ordered their arrest and detention.
However, Deji in a tweet on Thursday, faulted Sowore’s constant attacks on the church, saying Dr. Enenche and the Dunamis Church had no hand in the arrest and detention of the protesters.
He wrote, “DAY 5: The DSS has refused to release the Abuja 5 Buhari Must Go protesters who were arrested at Dunamis church despite all efforts by Pastor Paul Enenche to get them released. The DSS are now claiming the protesters were trying to instigate religious riot by going to the church. The tyranny of the Buhari regime is laughable. Like I said, the church had no hand in the arrest and detention of the protesters. I know first hand all the steps the church has made to get them released. Even today, the pastor has made several efforts. And I’m not been religious here, just stating the fact.”
