Buhari Okays Saraki’s arrest over Offa Bank Robbery

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly permitted plans by the police to arrest Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, over a string of murder cases recorded during the Offa Robbery in Kwara State.

President Buhari received the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris at the State House on Friday June 1st 2018, after which he was told of at least 20 murder incidents allegedly linked to Saraki in his home town.

Privy sources disclosed that IGP Idris arrived at the State House with evidence and documents relating and implicating the Senate President.

According to the Police Public Relations officer, Jimoh Moshood, the Police invited Saraki for questioning , over his alleged involvement in the Offa Bank robbery attack in Kwara after Buhari told the IGP that the law should take it course.

However, Dr Bukola Saraki has agreed to honor the police invitation moments after been told.

“I have just informed my ADC to get the letter of invitation from @PoliceNG in respect of the allegations raised yesterday — so that I can immediately honour the alleged invitation.” president of the 8th Assembly tweeted.
