Buhari presents appointment letter to Och’Idoma

On Friday, May 12, 2023, President Muhammadu Buhari presented a Letter of Appointment to the Paramount Ruler of the Idoma Kingdom, HRM Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John, Och’Idoma IV, as the Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke in Bayelsa State. The presentation took place at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo, Benue State.

Representing President Buhari, the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Sonny Echono, praised Och’Idoma’s impeccable track record, leadership achievements, and integrity, which led to his appointment.

Expressing gratitude, Och’Idoma thanked the Federal Government for considering him worthy of such a prestigious appointment and assured the President of his unwavering commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities. He also expressed appreciation to the representative of the President, who is a respected son of the Idoma Kingdom, for his significant contributions to Nigeria, particularly in Benue State.

Furthermore, Och’Idoma expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government for establishing the National Open University of Nigeria study center in Obagaji, Agatu LGA. He affirmed his continued support for the Buhari-led administration.

In a goodwill message, the wife of Och’Idoma, Her Royal Majesty Mrs. Martha Elaigwu, the Agab’Anya K’Idoma, conveyed her appreciation to President Buhari for his affection towards the Idoma people and acknowledged the exceptional privilege bestowed upon Och’Idoma. She wished the President a long life and divine guidance as he prepares to hand over to the incoming administration.
