Igwe Alex Ezeoba Nwokedi, former Chief Press Secretary to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo is dead.
Nwokedi was Obasanjo’s CPS during his time as military head of state from 1976 to 1979,.
The deceased was also Group Public Affairs Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Reacting, President Muhammadu Buhari commiserated with the Uthoko Na Eze royal family, people of Achalla community, and Anambra State Government.
In a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, the President also condoled with the Igwe-in-Council of Achalla.
Nwokedi was ex-chairman, Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers, and one-time chairman of Nine Eastern States Council of Traditional Rulers.
Buhari noted that the late monarch left his footprints on the sands of time.
The Nigerian leader prayed that God will rest the soul of the deceased, and comfort all those who mourn him.
