Reports coming in the North Western state reveal that, angry residents of several communities along ‘Funtua-Dandume-Birnin-Gwari’ road have taken to the streets on Saturday morning to protest the massive insecurity in their villages.
The protesters have reportedly blocked the Funtua-Dandume-Birnin-Gwari road as they register their grievances over the insecurities being experienced.
The residents created bonfires on the road, which caused gridlock in the area and restricted vehicular movements.
Villages around this area have been constantly attacked by armed bandits.
Bandits have kidnapped or killed some of their loved ones; stolen their properties have been stolen; rustled their cows or molested their females indecently.
